| Embrace Difference and do not Judge | 5.11.09 |
So many people seem surprised to know that Gods love is blind. There are no differences that God can see in his children, He does not see color or race, He does not judge between rich or poor, nor does He treat one differently than another.
Which is exactly how we are suppose to be toward our neighbors. In the Bible Christ is asked “Who is my neighbor” and he replies with a story, only to make it clear that our neighbor is anyone who’s needs we can meet.
We can see in the book of James 2: 2-4 we are encouraged not to judge others:
Suppose a man comes into your meeting wearing a gold ring and fine clothes, and a poor man in shabby clothes also comes in. If you show special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, "Here's a good seat for you," but say to the poor man, "You stand there" or "Sit on the floor by my feet," have you not discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?"
As Christians we are all part of the family of God, did you catch that, we are all family, and as in most families we may not always get along, but we do need to stick together no matter what. We have a calling, a mission, to spread the word of God, and to live our lives in a Christ like manner, and here is what Christ told us in the great commandment…
"The most important commandment," answered Jesus, "is this: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these." (Mark 12:29-31)
Do not judge others that God puts in your life, and search your heart for signs that you may harbor any negative thoughts or ill will toward anyone.
Let God cleans you and use you to touch and impact this world with the one and only life you have been given. Amen
