What have you done with this one and only life you have been given.
Think about this, what if you were walking down a beach and you look back only to see that you left no foot impressions in the sand, how strange would that be. Well so many times in our lives we walk here on earth and never leave impressions that we were ever here.
Can you say that you have made an impact or difference so far in your life, have you contributed to this world, to something, anything to grow and glorify the kingdom of God.
Many of us get so busy being busy and wrapped up with our own lives that we seldom stop long enough to think beyond ourselves, we wake up one day only to see that the time we thought we had left is gone in a fleeting moment. We think back, wishing we could turn back time, to do things different, to do a better job with the precious time that God had given us.
We are many times so self consumed that we fail to see others around us, we are blind to those that are lost and struggling to have peace and salvation in their lives, aching and longing for understanding of how to have a personal relationship with Christ.
We need to open our eyes to all that is going on around us. Open our hearts to someone that is scared, reach out our hand to someone that is down, and we need to stop thinking about and putting ourselves first.
How many times have you REALLY played the good Samaritan
How often have you volunteered to rebuild walls like Nehemiah
Have you fearlessly stood before a giant like David
Believed like Daniel as he stood in a lions den
Or had the tireless dedication and commitment of Paul
Don’t wait until time has passed you by, make,……and leave a lasting impression
In this time of year when many of us begin to make resolutions, lets commit to make a resolution to do everything we can to touch and impact the lives of others, to spread God’s word and message to someone in need, to someone that is lost and hurting, and to help wherever we can.
Take pride that you can stand before God one day and know you did everything you could to make a difference, a lasting impression here on earth.
Don’t forget God knows everything,… we may try to fool others, and we may try to fool ourselves, but we can never fool God.
God sees everything we do,…. and even what we don’t do,
and he will reward us even for the works we do that no one else notices.
