God's Purpose, Not Our Plans

7.28.08

Unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain. John 12:24-25

To live a God-centered life, you must focus your life on God’s purpose, NOT you own plans.

You must seek to see from God’s perspective rather than from your own.

Our love relationship with God prepares us to be involved in God’s work by developing God-centered living. Focusing our attention on God’s plans, purposes, and ways rather than our own is essential. Any other focus will misguide our involvement in God’s work.

We need to reach a point where we have no will of our own, then God can cause us to desire His will above our own.

God Himself is the One who initiates our involvement in His work. He does not ask us to dream up something we can do for Him. That is the most important thing to know.

What is the one thing God wants from us? He wants us to love Him with ALL our heart (all our being). That is the greatest commandment.

Why do we not realize that doing things God’s way is always best? We cause some of the wreck and ruin in our lives because “WE” have a plan. We implement that plan and get out of it only what we can do. He will accomplish more in six months through us being yielded to Him, than we could do in sixty years without Him.
